na mesma turma na licenciatura e já há muuuuuuito tempo que era para irmos visitar a Maura, mas ainda não tínhamos tido oportunidade.
Two weaks ago, I went to Lisbon with a friend, to visit our friend Maura (The Fashion Jukebox), who lives in Lisbon. We met each others when we were at the same class on our degree course and we wanted to go to Lisbon since a long time ago, but we haven't got a chance earlier to go the two of us to visit her.

Foi uma curta visita de 3 dias apenas, nos quais aproveitámos para conhecer algumas coisas de Lisboa que ainda não conhecíamos (tanto eu como a minha amiga já tínhamos ido a Lisboa), para conhecer um pouco do universo da Maura em Lisboa e para experimentar sabores novos.
It was a short visit, it took only 3 days and we used those days to meet new things and places in Lisbon (me and my friend had already been in Lisbon), to meet Maura's universe in Lisbon and to try new flavours.

Mal chegámos lá, apanhámos com uma feira do livro na central de autocarros. E nós que adoramos livros! Parecia um paraíso (Heaven, I'm in Heaven...), em quase todas as estações de metro havia livros muito baratos. Parece impossível para quem nos conhece, mas eu só comprei um livro e a minha amiga nenhum!
As soon as we got there, we found a book open market on the bus station. And we love books! It looked like heaven (Heaven, I'm in Heaven...), in almost all metropolitan stations there were books really cheap. It looks impossible for those who know us, but I only bought one book and my friend bought none!

Também vimos outra coisa de que gostámos muito. Passámos na Avenida da Liberdade e percorremo-la enquanto víamos uma feira que tinha artigos usados e novos, com coisas muito variadas, como podem ver nas fotografias.
We also saw a thing that we really liked. We walked through Avenida da Liberdade watching an open market that sold brand new and used stuff, various things, as you can see in the pictures.
Comprei postais antigos de Lisboa, para mim (eu adoro postais) e para a minha antiga colega de casa de Santiago de Compostela. Também encontrei postais da cidade dela e ofereci-lhos pela curiosidade e por serem antigos (ela também adora postais). Ainda arranjei um postal do Bussaco, que ofereci a uma amiga minha que trabalha em Lisboa.
I bought old Lisbon postcards, for me (I love postcards) and for my ex-roommate from Santiago de Compostela. I also found postcards from Santiago, and I bought them to offer her too. I found an old postcard of Bussaco, a really beautiful place in Portugal that I gave to a friend of mine.

Bairro Alto

Passámos pelo Bairro Alto e pudemos apreciar as decorações das festas populares. Estava muito giro e notava-se que era um bairro tradicional e pitoresco.
We walked by Bairro Alto and we enjoyed the decorations for the "Festas de Lisboa". The decorations were really nice and beautiful and it showed that Bairro Alto is a very traditional and picturesque.

Perto destas ruas, fomos visitar uma amiga minha (Telma) ao local de trabalho: Stay Inn Hostel. É um sítio bastante acolhedor e bonito e adorei a decoração dos espaços. As minahs amigas também gostaram, talvez um dia passaremos uma noite ou duas no hostel! :D A Telma mostrou-nos a nova decoração para a casa de banho (na altura só tinha os testes de impressão) e agora já está colocada - podem ver aqui.
Near this area, we visited a friend of mine (Telma) in the place where she works: Stay Inn Hostel. It's very cosy and beautiful and I loved the interior design and decoration. My friends also liked it, maybe one day we'll spend a night or two in there! :D My friend Telma showed us the new decoration for the bathroom (at the time she ha only the print testings) and it's now set - you can see it here.
Casa Fernando Pessoa
Adorámos a casa Fernando Pessoa. As paredes têm citações dele tanto por dentro como por fora. Tem o quarto dele reconstituído, objetos pessoais e documentos e no sótão tem um espaço chamado sonhatório, onde tem imagens do Pessoa a cores nas paredes, livros interativos e jogos táteis. Nós que adoramos livros, ficámos fascinadas com a casa. Só tem um defeito: nas paredes de dentro aparece sempre a mesma citação. Ele tem tantas citações boas, podiam ter variado.
We loved Fernando Pessoa's house. The walls have quotes (inside and out). It has his bedroom has it was when he lived there (the last years of his life), personal objects and documents, and inside the attic it has a place called dreamatorium with Pessoa's color pictures on the walls, interactive books and games. We, who love books, became fascinated with this house. It has only one bad thing: the quote on the walls inside the house: the quote is always the same. There's no need for that, when Pessoa wrote so many good quotes.

In the end we wrote our message. We thanked Pessoa for the life lessons he gave and we hope that all who come to that place may learn how to dream with him.
Os sabores experimentados - Flavours that we tried
Experimentámos coisas novas por Lisboa. Algumas já eram familiares, como a Pizza Hut (e os Pastéis de Belém, mas é obrigatório comê-los sempre que se vai a Lisboa! :) ).
Well, we tried some new things in Lisbon. And some were already familiar, like Pizza Hut (and Pastéis de Belém, but those we always have to eat when we go to Lisbon! :) ).
Hamburgueria do Bairro. Cátia and I loved it! Huge hamburguers and tasty deserts!
